The following information provides an overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you.

This is a purely informational website with no user accounts, no contact form and no web analytics. It sets no cookies, embeds no third-party content and uses no tracking or analytics services. Fonts are served locally from our own server, so no connection to external providers takes place. Simply visiting the website only involves the server log data described in section 4.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted on a virtual server at Amazon Web Services (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg) in the Ireland data centre region within the European Union. The hosting provider processes the connection data generated when the website is accessed (see section 4) on our behalf.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in providing this website reliably and securely. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider; it forms an integral part of the AWS contract terms as the AWS Data Processing Addendum.

4. Server Log Files

When you access this website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically stored in so-called server log files. These are:

  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • hostname of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

Purpose: technically error-free delivery of the website, optimisation of our offering and ensuring system security.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
Retention period: log files are automatically deleted after 14 days at the latest. This data is not merged with other data sources.

5. Contacting Us

This website does not offer a contact form. If you contact us by email or telephone, your details will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).
Retention period: until your inquiry has been conclusively dealt with and no further questions are to be expected, at most until statutory retention periods expire (in particular up to 10 years under commercial and tax law).

6. Cookies and Web Analytics

This website does not use cookies. Nor does it use comparable technologies such as local storage or session storage. No web analytics, reach measurement or cross-user tracking takes place. Consent under § 25 TDDDG (German Digital Services Data Protection Act) is therefore not required.

7. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar starting with “https://”. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

8. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected. An informal message to the contact details in section 2 is sufficient to exercise your rights.

10. Further Information

Providing personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. You can use this website without disclosing any data to us beyond the technically necessary connection data. Automated decision-making including profiling pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.

11. Transfers to Third Countries

Data is processed in a data centre region within the EU (Ireland). Where the hosting provider exceptionally accesses data from a third country as part of support and operational processes, this takes place on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914) incorporated into the AWS Data Processing Addendum; in addition, Amazon Web Services, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
